A Milestone for Freies Netze Munich: Moving to 100G Speed

In 2024, Freies Netze Munich was about to take a decisive step: The outdated hardware that had been donated was to be replaced by two modern switches/routers to finally enable the long-awaited 100G support.

The choice fell on Arista, whose reliable hardware was already in use. However, as a non-profit organisation, they needed a fair offer that took into account high discounts, free software licenses and minimal profit margins.

In Xantaro, Freie Netze Munichhad a reliable partner that not only listened, but also showed a willingness to support this important project. Together with Arista, Xantaro was able to implement the project in an uncomplicated manner. A milestone for Munich's digital infrastructure had been reached.
